Actually looking at this some more, I think it might actually be an e2fsprogs bug. Can you try out the following patch? It applies against the 1.42-WIP-1001 release of e2fsprogs.

Actually looking at this some more, I think it might actually be an e2fsprogs bug. Can you try out the following patch? It applies against the 1.42-WIP-1001 release of e2fsprogs.
