05.02.2020 · summary (Model1, rsquare=T, standardized=T) Results looks nice however I received standarized path coefficient greater than 1. (1.03). I found that it can be possible because of multicolliniary or small size of samples. I checked VIP results and all are below 10. My question is - is it even possible to publish data with standarized path ...
Two papers discuss the issue of standardized coefficients greater than one: Jöreskog (1999). How Large Can a Standardized Coefficient Be. 1. See also Deegan, J. (1978). On the occurrence of standardized regression coefficients greater than one. Educational and Psychological Measurement, 38 (4), 873-888. 1 This paper appears on the
Path coefficients are standardized because they are estimated from correlations (a path regression coefficient is unstandardized). Path coefficients are ...

07.09.2010 · Sep 7, 2010. #1. I'm currently using strutural equation modelling to test a model made up of two exogenous variables, four mediating variables and one endogenous variable. One of my standardized path coefficients is -1.08. Whilst I'm aware that the likely cause of path coefficients greater than +/- 1 one is multicollinearity, I don't appear to ...
06.10.2017 · In path modeling and structural equation, regression weightes may happened with greater than 1.00 beta or cofficients. Actually, when it …
Mar 13, 2021 · While I was conducting SEM on my model, I found 2 path coefficients are larger than 1 (one coefficient is 1.560, and the other one is -1.102). They should not be larger than 1 since they are all standardized.

in case of path coefficients, unstandardized path coefficients tend to be greater than one, but we use standardized coefficients in interpretations and also while quoting in research articles ...

Sep 07, 2010 · One of my standardized path coefficients is -1.08. Whilst I'm aware that the likely cause of path coefficients greater than +/- 1 one is multicollinearity, I don't appear to have any bivariate correlations above r = .56 between any of the variables included in the model.

Karin, I used correlations to calculate the path coefficients. However, the variables used in the estimation of correlations were not standardized. Cite.
