Now I’m wondering how to restore grub and, if I remember it right, I’ve got /bootand /boot/efi backed-up in Timeshift as well. Just restore the files. ESP partitions doesn't have any special bit like on Legacy BIOS(MBR) ones.

19.04.2019 · Having Timeshift integrated into GRUB is actually very beneficial to your users since it will reboot anyway. This would increase Timeshift in terms of speed, efficiency in replacing old files, and OS stability as well. At best, I wouldn't consider this a feature but rather a major upgrade for its upcoming releases.

I was wondering if a grub men entry could be written into the grub so timeshift can be accessed via grub menu in the event of a system crash which I’ve experienced from many OS’s. I had Garuda Linux on the other day and was able to restore the system from the grub menu.
06.05.2021 · Restarting it always just shows one line and is clearly stuck: /dev/nvme0n1p2: clean 1754785/61022208 files, 242526850/244059136 blocks. I can boot into Grub, ls shows. (proc) (hd0) (hd0,gpt2) (hd0,gpt1) I managed to create and boot into a live usb version of ubuntu, install timeshift and restore (I tried both internal and external backup files).
