I was just using ip address. as soon as I used ip:port number, it worked.

In VNC while connecting to remote desktop, you may get this errors. Advertisements ... unable to connect to host: Connection refused (111).

But if I give local-lan-ip:5902 I see the error "unable to connect to socket:connection refused". I'm really not a pro at configuring stuff ...
