16.05.2009 · what this means is x11vnc will only accept connections from localhost (thus no password required). open tighvnc and connect to localhost:6100 (or whatever) now all of your vnc traffic is sent through the encrypted channel, and your system thinks its connecting from/to itself (thus negating all the hosts.allow iptables troubles that can occur).
