I was using Manjaro gnome when I decided to try i3. Nothing was pre-configured, so I installed Manjaro i3 in a vm to copy the configuration file instead of making them from scratch. But it was a bit of trouble finding all the programs that came preinstalled with manjaro i3.

Sep 18, 2020 · For this, you’ll have to install the package manjaro-i3-settings and after its installation, copy the content of the /etc/skel/ directory to your home directory - make sure to create a backup copy of your home directory first, just to be on the safe side. After doing so, there might be some issues regarding packages not installed in your system. That’s something you’ll have to figure out on your own.
Manjaro i3 ships with urxvt as the default terminal emulator. If you want to change the way it looks, you can do so with the .Xresources file. For the status Bari tho I that’s specific to i3 you can find the config file in the .i3 folder

Sep 21, 2020 · I prefer visual identification of non-active windows by dimming rather than transparency. By default, Manjaro i3 uses a non-active window transparency as a way to help visually identify active/non-active windows. This works quite well, but I find this adds to the "visual noise" in a busy i3 session.
