28.12.2018 · This is as well the case when you add the vcenter by IP address/Short Name or add the ESXi host by IP address to the vCenter. Go to the ESXi host and configure the hostname and domain name correctly. Then add beside the short name as well the FQDN name to the hosts file. Example. ESX1.mylab.local ESX1 192.168.1.4.
