May 06, 2020 · After upgrade to Veeam Backup & Replication 10, the Backup of a VM using Cisco HyperFlex Snapshots completes with the warning "Changed block tracking cannot be enabled: one or more snapshots are present" if a Sentinel snapshot is already present. The described issue with Cisco HyperFlex Snapshots was resolved in Veeam Backup & Replication v11.

If CBT cannot be enabled you need to delete the existing snapshots before it will work, there is no other way as the problem lies in vmware who cannot enable it. Now Veeam can also backup without CBT but it will be very slow as it needs to read the entire disk and compare it with what is on the repo in the backup.
