26.07.2017 · We use Veeam to backup up to a Synology NAS in-house. Using reverse backup I have a vbk file of roughly 700 GB and daily vrb's of an average of 35 GB. We have a Glacier account, holding files placed there by Cloudberry. Management wants to set up off-site backup to Glacier using Veeam. Here is what I gather so far:

Create an S3 Glacier Vault in DC of choice, but it can't be found when using the same access key to try and add the Glacier Vault to Veeam. The vault (which I assume is a bucket) can't be found anywhere in when trying to add it into Veeam.

Solution: Hi Russ-Veeam can work with Amazon S3 but you would need to setup a Amazon Storage Gateway and utilize the backup copy job feature.

My past three weeks have been going up the bucket fine using a Copy Job through my SOBR. Nice setup going to Standard storage. Everything has been running smoothly for weeks. In the past we have been using Cloud Connect.
