Saturday, November 8, 2014 Use Synology as a Veeam B&R "Linux Repository" I posted a fix earlier today for adding back the key exchange & cipher sets that Veeam needs when connecting to a Synology NAS running DSM 5.1 as a Linux host for use as a backup repository.

Veeam does not recommend using a Synology for backups. If you absolutely must use it as a backup, I recommend that you take 2 sets of backups. The first set is to the Synology, the second set is to your offsite. Do not use a copy job. This prevents backup corruption in the event that Synology hoses your backup.
