I'm scoping out a project where we'll be placing a couple of Synology NAS's as backup repositories. I've read about using Minio inside of a container (Docker) running on the NAS and have a theory that we could use that setup to leverage data immutability using local storage for those clients that are cloud adverse.

I know this is an older question, but I have not seen anyone respond that they have been able to get this to work on a Synology. But, I wanted to let peeps know that it IS possible to get Veeam to set the immutable option on MinIO on Synology. While it may not be optimal, it is possible. Here is a little info that might be helpful.
