Jun 06, 2020 · After searching during many days for a router fully compatible with DD-WRT & OpenWRT, I'm finally hesitating between the Netgear R7800 and the Linksys WRT3200ACM. If I could, I'd prefer buy the Linksys but I can't find recents and accurate confirmation that it just works with DD-WRT.

OpenWRT generally has more active development and is a more organized project than DD-WRT, but at the moment the LEDE fork of OpenWRT may be an even better option for a router as new as the WRT3200ACM.

No you can't. OpenWRT refuses any images that aren't OpenWRT upgrade files when using the WebUI to upgrade. Go back to stock, factory defaults, then flash factory to ddwrt file. 3. level 2. unit486. Op · 10m. Thank you. I assume that I can't simply flash the last Linksys firmware either.

27.08.2020 · Hi I have the wrt3200acm and love it. Wifi is crappy, but only with some devices. I have a lot of devices in my house and all of them get on with the wifi radios in the wrt3200acm. Some people have had dropouts with some cheep wifi cams and some streaming devices. You can try out OpenWrt and then just go back to stock if it is not for you.

Wrt3200acm firmware. I got a linksys and I'm not sure if with that hardware I will be better with open or dd wrt cause it seems the wrt are not stable as others.
