29.01.2016 · probably one of the easier ways to fix this if you can't really connect manually, would be to reboot from the install cd, setup your wifi using wifi-menu, then mount your arch linux install back onto /mnt mount /dev/sdXY (replace sdxy with the actual partition you installed it to) and then chroot into the install arch-chroot /mnt /bin/bash .

The USB dongle should work out of the box in Arch and most Linux systems today to connect to the internet. Arch. pacman -S iwd. 21.05.2014 · I originally tried manually loading my wireless module as per the guides instructions on networking, but to no avail. So, I bought a WiFi dongle instead to get a wireless connection. So far, I have not tried configuring my WiFi dongle during the installation, because I don't know where to begin and I couldn't find anything in the guide about it.

After the installation I tried to use it and it said I needed to install dialogs to use it - which wasn't possible because I currently had no access to the Internet. As a side note the laptop I use is a Sony Vaio Pro 13.
Apr 02, 2020 · Re: [SOLVED] Can't connect to wifi during Arch Linux installation. Just as an FYI, wpa_supplicant didn't return any results as you ran the "scan_results" command before the "scan" command completed. wpa_cli is a bit unintuitive as it runs many commands asynchronously.
