TLDR version: has became buggy, bad and one sided search results, despicable and poor hiring policies. Wall of text version: The app and browser has become buggy. I lost a link on my phone I took a long time to find because the app needed updated. There was no warning it needed updated, it just stopped working.

He recommends startpage but I actually heard only bad things recently about startpage. To be honest you can't trust services regardless what they are saying.

I know I'm biased on this one, but if you want to search in private - then give our independent Open Source Search Engine, hosted in Europe a spin - we are still early and has focused on Danish results for a while, so not all results are equally relevant.
