To be able to make proper use of Wayland these bits have to be rewritten. The most complex task is to implement Wayland support in KWin, KDE Plasma's Compositor and Window Manager.

The Plasma 5.23 beta has been released, so go test it! We've got a month to fix all the bugs you find and report, so please do so.

This gives a virtual keyboard which you can use, handy for convertible laptops with a removeable keyboard. It only runs when using Wayland so make sure to select that at login.

Hello, I recently got into kde neon, and it seem that during the login page, there's two options which is X11 and Wayland. Can anyone give comment on which you think is the best for kde neon/some detailed explanation about both of these.

Last time i checked kwin on wayland did not support way too many simple things. I am not even talking about complicated stuff. For example i have two monitors, 144hz and 60hz. On wayland both get locked to 60hz because reasons. At least on X11 i can set TearFree option and get them both run at their max refresh rates.
