Mar 26, 2019 · As the title says, I'd like to switch over my X11 KDE install over to wayland. I'm prepared to have to reinstall if necessary. I'm running the latest version of Manjaro as a UEFI build, with an NVIDIA Gtx 745. I'm uncertain as to how I need to proceed to get this working. As for why I might want this, certain features such as redshift, as according to this post, is only supported on wayland.

Mar 11, 2018 · On Manjaro, I think I'm on the Nvidia driver. I see a bit of tearing when scrolling a page on a pdf or firefox. But it may be that it is installed on a external ssd (usb3). Or I may find a fix. I like Manjaro KDE and will probably install the drive on a old I3 laptop. 13 days later: I tried the kde wayland session after removing the nvidia driver.

Hi, I am running Manjaro KDE using Wayland and everytime my monitor turns off the taskbar dissapears and i have the type the following. I have to ctl alt t to bring up terminal and type kstart5 plasmashell in order to get the taskbar to come back up. (Using Display Port on an LG 4k Monitor) Operating System: Manjaro Linux.
