Apr 05, 2021 · I'm finally installing Manjaro but im not sure about which drivers should i use because i have an old Dual Core APU, i remember that i used open source ones in Pop OS but playing WoW Classic via lutris detected an older igpu, so idk if using proprietary drivers could save me from something like that in Manjaro

11.04.2021 · I would always recommend booting with open source drivers that way your system will boot without any issues. If you have a laptop with dual (intergrated and dedicated) you can install nvidia prime drivers after you have booted. I am on Intel. Lenovo Thinkpad e14 gen2.

Make sure you recently created USB installer is plugged into the computer you would like to install Manjaro 20.2 into then power it on and as it boots continuously tap either the F10 or F12 (depends on your computer) function key on your keyboard to enter the boot menu then choose your USB drive to boot into.

(default) - This chooses the open-source - free GPU drivers. * Boot Manjaro Linux ... (nonfree) - This option chooses the proprietary GPU drivers from Nvidia or ATI.

You should boot up with proprietary drivers if you have a NVIDIA GPU, if you dont have one on your computer, run open source drivers.
