Feb 26, 2021 · It is possible to get similar look and feel by setting up Latte dock and tweaking KDE to look like GNOME. It is also possible to install Oracle VM, download Manjaro GNOME and try it through VM (if your computer supports that). Other than these two, I think it is only possible to change DE by doing a clean install or dual boot.

After Gnome 3 came out, it was horrible, and I tried KDE for a month or so, but it was even worse! There were screen-tearing issues, sluggishness, things broke constantly, etc. I ended up switching to MATE for a few years, and recently gave Gnome another try on my work computer last year, and I've been with it since!
