Stuck on boot screen after turning on I've been using Manjaro for about three days after changing from (x)ubuntu. All's been going well, and I enjoy it, but earlier I was trying to get a game running and it crashed and my computer became unresponsive so I had to power it off - and now it keeps getting stuck while booting; specifically at the line "Started TLP system startup/shutdown"

06.10.2020 · Manjaro 20 Gnome has been running great for a month on my AMD 64-bit desktop until an update 2 days ago. Now it boots to a black screen. I found a temporary solution and have to hold down Ctrl + Alt + F2 to get to a tty2. Than I log in and type startx. That brings up the gui. Before the update Manjaro would boot right to the desktop gui.

Feb 21, 2019 · But since you cannot use the Manjaro install media to get to a boot menu, you have to use another distro that has grub as its boot mechanism. Your computer is in bios-legacy, and you will need one that boots using grub in bios-legacy. As far as I know, most live distros, while boot in grub in uefi, use syslinux to boot in bios-legacy.

17.03.2020 · sudo manjaro-chroot -a sudo pacman _Syyu sudo update-grub The problem now is the command above won't work anymore and i have tried to solve it by following the step stated here, GRUB/Restore the GRUB Bootloader and also here, Using livecd v17.0.1 (and above) as grub to boot OS with broken bootloader but still it will stuck at splash screen.
