PiHole in an OpenWRT installation? Hey folks, I used to run PiHole on an Raspberry Pi and that worked great. For various reasons I don’t anymore and tried the adblock plug-in to OpenWRT. Enabled all the options (running on X86-64 with 8GB of ram so no issues there) - but it’s not even close to PiHole when it comes to blocking ads.
Thanks for this great guide. I have an older router that isn't supported by OpenWRT but I was able to track down a build of dd-wrt for it. I assume it should be able to do the same with it as well. Have you considered blocking DNS over TLS with a firewall rule on port 853? That way devices need to use your Pihole.
