May 11, 2020 · I am setting OpenWrt on x86 hardware using Atheros QCA6174 Wireless Network Adapter. I installed both kmod-ath10k and ath10k-firmware-qca6174 packages. The wifi was enabled but I can not see the SSID on my computer or cellphone and it looks that radio0 is not active or broadcasting. Any help will be appreciated. Execute uci show wireless to see all the wireless configurations and how many Wi-Fi chips (called “radio” in the config) there are on the device.

I couldn't find the OpenWRT version on the dslrdashboard download section, so I ran a google search and found it on the OpenWRT site (openwrt-ar71xx-generic-tl-mr3040-v2-squashfs-factory.bin). I was thinking it was the same version because it had the same name. But it didn't have wifi on as default, and it didn't have a web interface.

SSID not showing up after reset. I'm a novice with all this so bear with me. Basically I wanted to reset my openwrt router to default settings so I reset it using the button on the back of the router. Once done the SSID would not show up when searching for the network. How did I fix this?

16.12.2019 · Troubleshooting a disabled radio on an OpenWRT router I’ve been tinkering with a Linksys router running OpenWRT, and noticed that by default, only the 2.4 GHz radio was active.It’s funny how much I’ve taken dual-band routers for granted, because the wireless was slow and unusable in that state.
