I also had 2 spare HDD and created a ZFS mirror pool on these in proxmox. Now how can i mount this zfs pool to my vms ? If possible i want to share the disk space of zfs pool within both of my vms. UPDATE : it looks like sharing ZFS pool among vm's require third party solutions like Virtio-FS which i don't want.

12.01.2014 · Using Ubuntu 16.04 zfs, there is something I found that fixes mounting zfs shares at boot without creating rc.local or systemd scripts, and without manually running zfs set sharesmb=on after each boot.. To sum up: zfs mount -a and zfs share -a do not work, but using zfs set sharesmb=on does work. Running sudo /etc/init.d/zfs-share restart works too.
