Apr 12, 2016 · Hi Does anybody know if there are deduplication options for Synology NAS? or perhaps I should look at iSCSI and then format NTFS with dedup, or ReFS, but i'm concerned that with iSCSI the Host server O/S has access to the Synology, which leaves it more vulnerable to ransomware etc. Currently the NAS is only able to be accessed by Veeam B&R job via a secure login and password.

Hello. So we have the latest version of Veeam deployed on a high end HP 2019 server. This server has a couple drive volumes setup (c drive for boot and d drive for the backup data formatted refs with about 12tb).
