21.05.2013 · I seem to have success with some jobs and failures with others. I get StartSessionTape failed & Tape Positioning errors. Veeam is at the latest patch level, Windows 2012 R2 if fully updated. I am on the latest library/drive firmware and driver level. I should also mention that I can't do a short erase on tapes either. I get similar errors.

May 10, 2018 · I am getting a Tape positioning error: The end-of-data marker was reached during an operation when I try backups. I have tapes in prod that I no longer use there and send them to DR. I had data on those tapes so I did a quick erase in my prod library.
