Feb 02, 2021 · Timeshift btrfs snapshots require OS to be installed on btrfs file system. Only then it can benefit from btrfs. This is what this message is telling you. You can choose empty disc or partition with btrfs, but timeshift will only store files there, it won’t make any snapshots of the storage disk, so btrfs feature won’t be utilized.
