I've not tested the case for the geust interaction proxy, but on other components this is the case usually.

The Guest interaction proxy Server is used in a backup Job for copying the „Application Aware Executables“ to the guest. The Veeam Proxy is used to read the productive data and send it to the Veeam Backup Repo.

06.10.2016 · The VM guest to back up is in a different subnet. Here are the adresses: Backup Server (BS): 10.1.12.20. GIP: 10.1.20.11. Guest: 10.1.19.55. There are many other guest VMs, but I'm using one here to represent them. The BS is blocked by firewall and may not contact the guest dirctly. It has openings to reach the GIP.
