You must add the machine to the Veeam Backup & Replication console as a managed server. Guest interaction proxy must have a LAN connection to the VM that will be backed up or replicated.

21.11.2014 · Re: manually install guest interaction proxy? those ports are usually used during the installation process, you can open them temporarely and then close them after installation is completed. I've not tested the case for the geust interaction proxy, but on other components this is the case usually.
