I am looking at co-location and putting a (to be purchased) host server running veeam proxy and veeam server in there, I intend to buy a NAS and connect this up using iscsi initiator, the nas I am getting quotes on at the moment is the synology RS820.
To get Veeam to correctly recognize the space available in the Synology volume, you'll need to edit the 'mount.pm' file to remove the invalid "-x vmfs" argument (line 72 in my version) in the file. However, that file must be replaced within the tarball so it can be re-sent to the Synology every time it connects.

Click on Network Attached Storage. Select Nfs as repository type. Enter the Name of the new repository and optionally a Description. Click Next.
