My machine is raspberry pi 3 ,Debian, Kali Linux.

To fix this issue, first of all, check if you have any Desktop Environment (eg, Unity, Gnome, KDE, xfce, lxde etc) installed on your system.

I followed this guide to try to connect to my Ubuntu 20.04 machine from my Windows machine; installed tightVNC, changed the xstartup file to show the default Gnome desktop.
