Hello, Does anyone knows how to fix the black screen from vnc viewer? I just installed Redhat 6.4 with tigervnc-server upon reboot when I try to connect to.

I'm working through VNC issues as well on Xubuntu, Ubuntu Mate, and Lubuntu 18.04. I think I have it mostly figured out so far for Mate. My only guess I have for you is on the machine were you were getting the blank screen on with the configuration that ships with TigerVNC, was that you were also logged into the local GUI when you started the remote session.
06.06.2019 · Are you able to connect a screen to the server/pc and ensure it isn't showing up just black as well? I've just logged into my vnc account. I've also tested it by plugging a monitor to it before and it works normally.
15.04.2020 · I was able to connect to the target computer without issue. This is even before a user would login. I logged in via VNC as a normal user. On the target computer we are using vnc version 2.8.11 and the viewer is 2.7.10 (at least on my computer). Our typical vnc install is the mirage driver first then vnc server.
17.05.2018 · Upgrade VNC Server to version 6.5.0, as this version contains some changes to try and automatically recover from a blank screen; Change your Power settings on the VNC Server computer to never turn off the monitors/displays; Check that Windows is not set to a "Battery Saver" power mode; Connect an EDID emulator to the VNC Server computer.

It does not happen all the time and one of our students observed that this issue happens consistently when she hovers her mouse on the VNC Config icon on the top left hand corner. 20.06.2019 · I want to install a vnc-server on a Ubuntu 18.04 desktop (clean install). I've tried vino, tigervnc, tightvnc. For vino, I don't get the screensharing option in the settings. For tigervnc and tightvnc the installation proceeds, I create the configuration, but when I try to connect I get a grey screen with a cross cursor.
