You can use other alternatives such as qwant, searx, startpage. DDG is not miracle solution to your online privacy DDG is just one service.

It may be a none privacy reason. Duckduckgo is useful in another way. It provides a relatively unbiased set of results that isn't linked to any browsing habit or search history. So it may help produce sources you wouldn't normal see on the first few pages of your search. I don't see any privacy value in using the 2 in tandem.
