Short answer yes. Putting money where your mouth is. DDG is privacy oriented service, or at least claims to be. By using it you show that there is a need for such a service, that there is a demand. You can use other alternatives such as qwant, searx, startpage. DDG is not miracle solution to your online privacy DDG is just one service.
It may be a none privacy reason. Duckduckgo is useful in another way. It provides a relatively unbiased set of results that isn't linked to any browsing habit or search history. So it may help produce sources you wouldn't normal see on the first few pages of your search. I don't see any privacy value in using the 2 in tandem.

WHY does everyone think I'm judging. I'm only giving ideas that DDG could improve upon and also giving reasons for why I'm not using it even though I tried it out. Don't tell me that the lack of those features in DDG makes it better somehow. How would I look up sports quickly? For the most part, the more of those features the better.
