Duck Duck Go has got to be at least 1000 times better than my former favorite Google Chrome. I'm definitely going to have all my family switch also once they here about it and how well it works. I feel so much more comfortable using it where as with Chrome or Firefox or any other I was always wondering who is gathering my info personal or not.

Why should I use DuckDuckGo? - reddit

you should use DuckDuckGo because the duck mascot is cute!! :P (Just kidding, hehe ) You have no obligation to buy in into my pitch, but as what the wise old gentleman has said, DDG is all about securing your privacy & nothing else. No logs, no cookies, no traces.

I don't think it's quite as bad as the article says, because Duck Duck Go uses Perfect Forward Secrecy (PFS), but I think the point is still the same. The NSA would need to maintain a persistent/embedded attack on DDG servers versus just steal the SSL cert, at least for people using modern browsers that support PFS.

26.04.2021 · DuckDuckGo is part of a relatively new breed of search providers that have come to be known as private search engines. We call them “private” in comparison to Google – the market leader.
