Answer: Run 'sudo pacman -S i3' This would prompt you to select the packages you want to install. Select from i3-gaps, i3wm, i3blocks, i3status. Select all those apply, but remember install either i3-gaps or i3wm. Once installed, logout of plasma and select 'i3' as your session and login.

22.01.2017 · Now I am back to Manjaro with KDE and everythings works fine (it also feels better because it is an "official flagship Manjaro"). But I kinda miss i3 so I am thinking about installing i3 in my Manjaro with KDE so I will be able to switch between them (then it doesn't matter if i3 has no multi-monitor support out of the box).
