06.02.2014 · I'm looking for a similiar function that RDP has on the Windows side. Does anyone know of a program or settings (I didn't see anything obvious) that will allow a VNC connection to black out the screen locally, and resize to match the clients laptop? As it stands now, when someone VNC's into the boss's Mac, anyone who walks by could see it.

I'm working through VNC issues as well on Xubuntu, Ubuntu Mate, and Lubuntu 18.04. I think I have it mostly figured out so far for Mate. My only guess I have for you is on the machine were you were getting the blank screen on with the configuration that ships with TigerVNC, was that you were also logged into the local GUI when you started the remote session.

Why would you do that? You are most likely virtualizing MacOS too. You have probably run something like this to enable Remote Management: cd /System/Library/ ...

08.10.2019 · Starting with macOS Mojave (10.14) and macOS Catalina (10.15), you must give the Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions to VNC Connect. If you do not grant these permissions you will see a blank screen in VNC Viewer and/or have view-only access. Please follow the steps below to set up VNC Connect for macOS correctly.
