May 26, 2018 · Above you can see the Lan IP address and the mesh addresses of each router. So client X is connected to Node A with a cable and a node is assigned the IP address 192.168.10.100. Client Y is connected to D and is assigned the IP addresses 192.168.13.50. When I try to ping X from Y, I cannot get it to work.
if the device has a single port, it's probably configured as a router anyway because that's what OpenWrt usually does so it has a static IP 192.168.1.1, no gateway or dns server set up so it won't connect to the Internet (or even local network if it is not 192.168.1.x) in this state. Connect to Luci web interface at the mentioned IP address and change the LAN interface settings to add the IP ...

01.03.2015 · I experience the same issue running openwrt trunk (own compilation) on x86 and wdr3800. Clients all get ipv6 global addresses but cannot ping past the router. One element I should add is that for some reason after turning relay on, both lan and wan interfaces in openwrt get the SAME ipv6 global address.
Also, I can ping6 a host in the LAN from another host in the LAN. But from a host on the LAN I cannot ping external hosts using ipv6, I can't tell why. I have done this from a Debian live install on a notebook, booting from a USB stick, just to be sure there was no old config around that could interfere with ipv6 networking:
