Just FYI, this is the Whiterussian forum and the filename openwrt-wrt54g-2.4-squashfs.bin indicates a Kamikaze (the current) release. I mention this only to help these confusing little things so easy to miss.

Deleted my lan connection to a router not broadcasting wifi. The Router is an TPlink AC1750 v2. I have been able to get it into Failsafe Mode verified by the rapid .05 second blinks, but setting my computers static IP to 192.168.1.2 Did not allow me to access the router. When i attempt to all i get is err_connection_refused.

03.06.2009 · I made it a step further, found after a bit of digging in the documentation a failsafe mode, put it into that, set a static ip of 192.168.1.2 on gateway 192.168.1.1 and I'm in through telnet, I don't think I've been so excited about something going my way in a long time !

I built OpenWRT for dir-320-b1 (), changed only Target System (Ralink RT288x/RT3xxx) in default settings.Trying to boot it in normal mode and everything works file - I can connect to OpenWRT using telnet. It's worth mentioning, that trying to connect via SSH, either with no password, or my set root password, was returning Permission denied, please try again. which was a bit of a red herring. I was connected via ETH1, and that hard reset (Power LED goes red for a moment) boots into standard mode rather than failsafe.
