So I currently have PiHole's conditional forwarding turned on for my x.local domain pointing to the gateway with don't forward unchecked. So DNS will hit the PiHole, blacklist and then be sent to the USG to be forwarded outside, or will be resolved locally by the USG. Problem is it's so wonky and doesn't really seem to work well at all.
I have pihole forward DNS requests for local hosts to the USG. ... Not sure whether setup, unifi, and USG have to be resolvable by clients or just the UBNT ...
