Oct 25, 2021 · Should I be looking at one of the larger Synology NAS units with sufficient capacity (not sure if this can be used with Veeam as a Linux repo or would a dedicated server full of storage be a better option. Something along the lines of the Supermicro storage server range for example. Thanks for any advice.

27.10.2021 · I would not recommend a Synology NAS device for a Veeam Repo. We have one because our director has a soft spot for Synology and bought one after our Dell DR4100 died. This non-recommendation is based on the support I had (or lack of) from Synology here in Australia.
