My Veeam job runs a post backup script on my Veeam server that sshs into the Synology unit to start the Hyper Backup job. If your synology supports and can run VMs, then you can spin up a VM, install windows on the VM, and run Veeam from that. Like others have said, it will be slow since Veeam is running on one volume and the backups are going to another volume on the same box.
