So, with the long dev cycle of XFCE, it will be quite a while before wayland support. But this may prove beneficial to XFCE anyway, as wayland is still in heavy development hence is a moving target. By the time XFCE starts adding support, all things wayland will be more stable and tested. Gtk3 is wayland compatible.

28.08.2021 · Note: XFCE. I’m assuming that your desktop environment is XFCE, since that’s the default Manjaro environment. If you’re using KDE or Gnome, I’m guessing the same steps apply. But don’t take my word for it. Step 1: SSH into your machine. Since this is a headless machine, I’m doing everything via SSH.
