Jun 21, 2019 · For tigervnc and tightvnc the installation proceeds, I create the configuration, but when I try to connect I get a grey screen with a cross cursor. I've tried a VM (clean installation) with Ubuntu 19.04 desktop and vino-server, turned screen sharing on. When I tried to connect with Remmina from the host, I get a black screen, no cursor.

19.02.2021 · I've got 3 different Ubuntu machines I'd like to rdp into. Each of them appear to be setup correctly except that when I initiate an rdp session I get a blank or black screen. On each server there is ssh task activity, but; no matter how long I wait there's never any display. I apt-get install xrdp and apt-get install tightvncserver.

Mar 03, 2020 · Attempting to connect to the system using a web browser to port 5801 results in a black screen or a message indicating that the connection failed. On the VNC server system, go into YaST and select Network Services --> Network Services (xinetd). Scroll down to the "vnchttp1" selection and edit it. Look for the parameter -noreset and delete it.

15.04.2020 · TightVNC only works after physically connecting a monitor. Interested if anyone knows a workaround. Without a monitor, TightVNC only shows a black screen. Troubleshooting so far (firewall off, reboot, reinstall TightVNC although this is consistent across multiple PCs.) W10 version is 1909. Win7 never did this.
