If your synology supports and can run VMs, then you can spin up a VM, install windows on the VM, and run Veeam from that. Like others have said, it will be slow since Veeam is running on one volume and the backups are going to another volume on the same box. I tried this with a Qnap 6 bay and it worked fine, just slow.
