20.10.2020 · Open gnome-layout-switcher, go to the "Settings" tab, and enable the Wayland session. Then log out, and you should be able to start a Wayland session. You may want to install xorg-server-xwaylandso that you can run X11 applications. Please also read the Arch wiki article about Waylandto avoid surprises.

15.08.2020 · Gnome-layout-switcher has an option to enable wayland. If it is grayed out, it is because it detects you have nvidia card.
