06.07.2021 · Hello guys, I just installed Manjaro i3 community edition, but the problem is it gives me black screen all the time. I mounted the root in a live environment and opened grub.cfg and /etc/default/grub, then I removed ‘quiet’ from linux line. It worked once then it back again, I think when I unplugged the flash usb. My laptop is dell Inspiron 5567 with amd radeon r7.
06.10.2020 · Manjaro 20 Gnome has been running great for a month on my AMD 64-bit desktop until an update 2 days ago. Now it boots to a black screen. I found a temporary solution and have to hold down Ctrl + Alt + F2 to get to a tty2. Than I log in and type startx. That brings up the gui. Before the update Manjaro would boot right to the desktop gui.
