22.08.2014 · The R8000 works brilliantly with teh DD-WRT firmware. My only critisism is that the WPS funtion doesn't seem to work in the first release. Hopefully this will come in future. As a word of warning the hidemyass configuration script for open VPN doesn't work.
24.12.2021 · Netgear R8000 Dd-wrt Download Windows 7 Documentation on the flaw, so far, has been poor. Most importantly, it's not clear, to me at least, whether the vulnerability can be exploited remotely, from the LAN side of the router or both.

28.07.2015 · I have the newest firmware Firmware: DD-WRT v3.0-r27540M (07/26/15) on my R8000. I am in need of some one to help me figure out why I am not able to keep my speeds up. I am not getting more in 50 mbps when i pay for 150 mbps.

The targeted devices are NetGear R7000/R8000, especially the latter. By far there is no official DD-WRT ROM for R8000. The only stable ROM is Kong Mod.
